“Historical” participation of young inventors

The Innovation Week in Africa IWA 2021, organized by the association OFEED Maroc online from September 8 to 12 in Rabat, saw a “historic” participation rate of creative children, students and young inventors, said the association in a press release, noting that 33% of the participating projects in the final were carried out by young students and inventors.

On this occasion, a virtual art exhibition had as its theme “Children’s anti-pandemic ideas”, with a view to sharing artistic creations (drawings and models) which were made by children aged 3 to 6 years. Among the other novelties of this edition, 47 themes divided into five discussion panels were addressed to disseminate the culture of innovation among young people and the general public by virtual speakers created by artificial intelligence, which is today able to search the information through the Internet and build its own intervention and also to announce it by a virtual robot to give the human appearance to the speaker.

In addition, this edition was marked by the attribution of 574 certificates, with 467 “Masters of Innovation”, including 284 for India and 72 for Thailand, and 107 distinctions, including 27 for Thailand and 14 for Morocco. , according to the same source. Among the great successes of this edition, 22 inventions were accepted to join the marketing program through the ICCD platform, the same source noted.

The Innovation Week in Africa IWA 2020 program, using OFEED WebTV, has reached participants from all over the world without any barriers or limitations, giving voice to inventors and inspiring so many others through the excellent contribution of honorable international experts in innovation.

Chaired by inventor Majid El Bouazzaoui, OFEED Maroc organized the IWA 2021 Africa Innovation Week, sponsored by the First Institute of Canadian Inventors (FICI), under the Patronage of the International Federation of inventors associations (IFIA), with the support of “The Patent” magazine, Oxford Business Group, the ICCD global commercialization platform, the American Artificial Intelligence Initiative (PQAI) and Sharjah Research Technology and Innovation Park (SRTIP), in the United Arab Emirates.
