Apple recently enhanced the AirPods Pro sound issues service program. Launched in October 2020, this program aims to replace free of charge one of the headphones (or both) exhibiting crackling or issues with noise reduction. It now covers AirPods Pro for three years after the product is first retailed, which is an additional year.
For the rest, nothing changes. A ” limited number AirPods Pro, manufactured before October 2020, are likely to experience these sound problems: crackling or static noises that increase in intensity in a noisy environment, during a workout or on a phone call. The program also takes into account the malfunction of noise reduction, which can cause a drop in bass or an increase in background sounds.
If your headphones have these problems, go to this page of the Apple site, and then follow the procedure. Defective headphones can be supported at an Apple Store, Authorized Service Center, or Apple Support over the phone.
