Qatari driver Nasser Al Attiyah won the Rallye du Maroc on Wednesday, the fourth round of the FIA (Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile) Cross Country Rally World Cup.
Al Attiyah (Toyota Gazoo Racing) flew over the fifth and final stage, beating the Polish Jakub Przygonski by 3min 42sec and signing his sixth final victory in the Rally of Morocco. Saudi Yazeed Al Rajhi, winner the day before, entered third at 4:37. The Qatari rider (50 years old), who won the first three stages of this edition, finished first in the general classification at 15:58 from Al Rajhi and at 1h 10:52 from Argentinian Lucio Álvarez.
Held under the sign “Reopening of the doors of the desert”, the 2021 edition of the Rallye du Maroc saw the participation of 260 competitors.
