Long pointed in a good position in a rhythmic event, Vents Contraires was clearly superior to its rivals in the last 250 meters, leaving Romanosa and Madison Avenue at a respectable distance.
After the packages of Quartzdargent and Air of Time, there were only fourteen 3-year-old foals and fillies to do battle in this Thursday’s event race at ParisLongchamp: the Prix Carrus, a handicap run over the distance of 1,600 meters. Long on the sidelines, Headwinds (8- A. Lemaitre), who had just announced his return to form twice, took the opportunity to return to success. Helped by his number one in the stalls, Aurélien Lemaitre’s partner quickly occupied a strategic position, before easily coming to make the difference in the last 250 meters: “He inherited a good string number and had a bit of everything going for him today. We traveled well and he did not miss his target. ” Mid-peloton waiter, Roman (5- S. Pasquier) finished well and took second place at the expense of Madison Avenue (9- G. Mossé), came to snatch third place in the final strides at Denia (12- T. Bachelot), which was constantly noticed in third position and valiantly defended itself to the end. The outsider Ameera (7- Mlle. C. Pacaut) took fifth place.
