Over the past 24 hours, the Ministry of Health has identified 506 new cases of Covid-19 infection, bringing the total number of cases of contamination to 941,009. 15,098 new tests have been carried out, bringing the total number to 8,951,872 since the start of the pandemic. The positivity rate drops to 3.35%.

As for the number of people declared cured, it rose to 920,476 with 763 new remissions on Wednesday, indicates the same source, noting that the remission rate has reached 97.8%.
The ministry also announced 20 new deaths recorded in the past 24 hours. The death toll from the new coronavirus thus stands at 14,520 and the case fatality rate at 1.5%.

Regarding the active cases still under treatment or medical monitoring, the ministry indicates that their number has reached 6,013 people (-277), including 436 serious cases (33). He further pointed out that the occupancy rate of Covid resuscitation beds has risen to 8.3%.

The number of beneficiaries of the vaccination operation reached 23,178,173 (+38,733) for the first dose, 20,723,634 (+136,585) for the second and 402,423 for the third (+59,368).
