Short Film Sraghna Kelaâ Festival

The Maison de la culture (Dar Attakafa) of Kelaâ des Sraghna is organizing, from October 13 to 17, the 1st edition of the Kelaâ des Sraghna short film festival at a distance, a cultural and artistic event dedicated to the cultural promotion of the region of Marrakech-Safi in general and of this province in particular.

Organized in coordination with the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication, through the Regional Directorate of Culture in Marrakech-Safi, this festival adds to the plethora of cultural and artistic events scheduled in the region, said a press release. organizers, adding that the program of this festival focuses on activities aimed at encouraging young talents concerned with the seventh art and the popularization of film culture among young people and other social categories.

On the program of this first edition are scientific conferences on “The evolution of Moroccan film criticism” led by Dr. Mohamed Chouika, “The cinematographic language” given by the director and actor Mohamed Oumai, and “Artificial intelligence in the field of cinema “, moderated by Jilali Laktati.

The festival will screen 16 short films by directors from the cities of Marrakech, Laâyoune, Settat, Ouarzazate, Agadir, Casablanca, Ait Ourir, Berchid, Khouribga, Imintanout, in addition to an honorary participation from Tunisia.

This first edition will pay tribute to the Moroccan artist Omar Azzouzi, in recognition of his prolific artistic career and his distinguished participation in several cinematographic films and television works.

Lectures, short films and other scheduled activities will be broadcast via the official platforms of Dar Attakafa de Kelaâ des Sraghna and the Regional Directorate of Culture in Marrakech on social networks, in accordance with preventive measures aimed at curbing the spread of the new coronavirus ( Covid-19).
