At 32, the Brussels native Marie Darah is the first French-speaking poet to participate in the European Championship. This will take place on December 8th at the Jacques Franck Cultural Center in Brussels.

Author, actor, slayer, She defines herself as a multidisciplinary, “gender fluid”, gay and vegan artist. Marie Darah was born in Charleroi and settled in Brussels to study at the Conservatoire en art de la parole. His first text, “Since you didn’t shoot”, was published last year by Maelström editions. “It is the story of a life, concentrated in a moment of violence. A set of flashbacks and flash-forwards builds the web of this narrative with the rhythm and the fever induced by the threat of a weapon. In a short moment of life, memories like hopes merge and they speak to us“explains Marie Darah. In 2022, he will publish his first collection of poems entitled” Sur le Noir du Tarmac “, with the same publisher.
