The Minister of Youth, Culture and Communication, Mohamed Mehdi Bensaid, presented, Wednesday in Rabat, the action program of his department for the financial year 2022.
In his presentation to the Education, Cultural and Social Affairs Commission of the Chamber of Councilors, Bensaid highlighted the Ministry’s activity report for the year 2021 in the area of youth, culture and communication, highlighting the achievements of the Department, as well as the advancement of major projects.
Subsequently, Bensaid reviewed the main measures of the ministry’s preliminary draft budget for the year 2022 for the youth, culture and communication sectors.
Regarding the youth sector, the Minister indicated that the decrees relating to child protection centers and to the commission responsible for monitoring and implementing the National Integrated Youth Policy will be promulgated.
It also involves the promulgation of decrees relating to youth centers, the implementation of the youth card and the “youth pass” which will allow this segment of society to benefit from multiple services and advantages, in addition to the benefits. regulatory decisions concerning the application of the decree relating to the organization of holiday camps under the responsibility of the youth service.
He added that actions will also be taken to promote the publication of a guide for signing agreements and alliances in order to facilitate the work of the various central and external services, the development of a communication strategy reserved for the service. youth, setting up an electronic newsletter dedicated to young people, a digital library for archiving videos and photos with a view to creating a museum dedicated to the activities of the department.
Regarding the Department of Culture, Bensaid stressed that the Ministry will endeavor to reduce spatial disparities in the coverage of the national territory by institutions of cultural proximity, to protect, preserve and enhance the tangible and intangible cultural heritage of the Kingdom and to implement the recommendations relating to the cultural component contained in the new development model, as well as the establishment of a national cultural strategy aimed at promoting the convergence of public policies and programs and at identifying the main options and orientations.
This also involves the continued implementation of the cultural emergency plan to deal with the repercussions of the Covid-19 pandemic, the strengthening of social protection for artists, the realization of cultural projects and infrastructure, the development of programs. cultural associations, improving the offer abroad, promoting cultural economies and creating new jobs for the benefit of young people in all cultural fields in collaboration with various actors.
