CIH Bank has entered into a long-term strategic agreement with the global payment technology company Mastercard. The objective of this collaboration is to bring innovative digital payment solutions to Morocco. “Together, the two operators will launch new technologies, new products and services to make daily transactions simple, transparent and secure,” he said in a joint communication.
Providing more details, the two market players note that among the extended solutions that will be introduced is the prestigious World Elite card from Mastercard, which will soon be made available to CIH Bank VIP clients. It offers a suite of industry-leading offerings and benefits, including hand-picked travel, lifestyle, concierge and insurance services, as well as access to personalized experiences.
“In these difficult times, banks must go the extra mile to support and meet the needs of customers. At CIH Bank, we are committed to seeking new opportunities that will have a positive influence on the financial well-being of our clients. As a preferred partner, Mastercard’s solutions and innovations will enable us to achieve this goal, taking advantage of the benefits that digital payments can offer and providing our customers with unparalleled payment experiences ”, says Lotfi Sekkat, President of CIH Bank.
For his part, Mohamed Benomar, Managing Director North and West Africa at Mastercard, declares that “in a context of evolution towards a digital economy, Moroccan consumers are increasingly looking for new digital payment experiences on- measure and innovative, aligned with the evolution of their needs and their lifestyles. We are delighted to extend our partnership with CIH Bank to bring our latest and most innovative products and solutions to the market and further modernize the payments ecosystem in Morocco.
Together, we will work to improve the experience of daily payments for consumers by making them simple, secure and rewarding ”. It should be remembered that the World Elite card was launched during the exclusive “World Elite Cup” golf tournament organized by CIH Bank and Mastercard. The first holders of the CIH Bank World Elite card and the executives of the bank and Mastercard attended this event. As a surprise, Mastercard welcomed Thomas Levet, member and winner of the European Tour, and Joanna Klatten, four-time winner of the Australian Ladies Professional Golf Course. It should be noted that CIH Bank and Mastercard have been working together for several years and recently jointly launched a card with the Center monétique interbancaire which allows holders of the said card to make purchases both locally and abroad.
Moreover, CIH Bank was the first bank in Morocco to implement the solution to Mastercard fraud, and, thanks to the lasting partnership, CIH Bank Mastercard cardholders can take advantage of special offers and discounts at more than 35 tradespeople. It should also be remembered that CIH Bank is committed to promoting financial inclusion in the region and to developing programs that meet the needs of its customers. After the launch of the “Code-30” offer for young people, and the “Club Sayidati” service for women, CIH Bank recently launched a free banking offer for those who wish to open an account via their CIH Mobile application.
