A slight upward trend in the spread of COVID-19 is back as Quebec reports 512 new cases, seven deaths and an increase in hospitalizations on Wednesday.

The 512 new cases reported Wednesday bring the daily average to 555 cases. The trend is thus up 3% over one week.

The number of hospitalizations has also increased. There are currently 298 people hospitalized, seven more than the day before. Of these, 75 are in intensive care, three more. The hospitalization trend is thus slightly up by 1% compared to last week.

The seven deaths bring the average to four per day, which is stable compared to the last week.
