31,299 people have been infected and 986 others have died in the past 24 hours in Russia, thus recording a new record of contamination and deaths due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The capital, Moscow, remains the most affected area with 6,712 new cases and 72 deaths. The country’s second city, St. Petersburg, follows with 2,345 recorded contaminations and 67 deaths, according to the daily report published by the Russian government.
