A test, still not yet known to the general public
According to André Fisher, who conducted this research, this diagnostic method has not yet been adopted by the general public. “At present, the diagnosis of Alzheimer’s comes much too late to even have a chance to have an effective treatment. For André Fisher, the world needs a test that prevents this disease very early and he believes that diagnosis by analysis of microRNAs is a revolution that will produce positive effects. “We need a test that gives an early warning. We are convinced that the results of our current study pave the way for such tests ”, he emphasizes.
This method has been particularly tested on mice and humans. According to the results, those with low levels of these biomarkers have a low chance of developing this disease. In contrast, two years after the blood test, 90% of people with high microRNAs exhibited this dysfunction.
If the effectiveness of this test is approved, on the other hand, its complexity does not allow it to be popularized. Likewise, it is quite expensive. For this, the German researchers have set themselves the objective of making it simpler and easily accessible to all, and above all at a lower cost. A new diagnostic method to monitor the development of Alzheimer’s disease
