In addition to the Surface Duo 2 and the Surface Pro 8, the Surface Go 3 should also see the light of day in the coming days. Indeed Microsoft has made an appointment on September 22 for a “Surface” conference.
This is a material event that is likely to give rise to a new generation of the Surface product. This September 22 date is interesting because it precedes the launch of Windows 11 by two weeks.
Unlike the Surface Pro 8 which is supposed to offer a retouched look (thinner edges and larger screen), the new Surface Go will keep its current appearance. At least that’s what the latest rumors claim. Most of the work is in its mechanics with a rise in power. On the other hand, if these hardware upgrades are planned, the machine is still aimed at the entry level.
Surface Go 3, what do we know?
The Surface Go 3 offer will be built around two Intel processors, namely the Pentium Gold 6500Y and the Core i3-10100Y. The latter should come with a maximum of 8 GB of RAM and up to 128 GB of storage space (SSD). The Pentium edition would be satisfied for its part with a “small” storage of 64 GB of the eMMC type.
The graphics part is entrusted with an Intel UHD Graphics 615 solution while the equipment will offer USB Type C, Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi, a 3.5 mm audio jack port and a microSD card reader. The screen is equipped with a 10.5-inch panel capable of providing a definition of 1920 × 1080 pixels with a 3: 2 aspect ratio.
Finally the operating system is Windows 11 in S mode. Switching to a full version of Windows 11 will probably be possible at no additional cost.
