An earthquake measuring 4.8 on the Richter scale rocked the Indonesian island of Bali, killing three people.
Indonesia’s Meteorological, Climatological and Geophysical Agency said the 4.8-magnitude quake struck at a depth of 10 km at 4:18 a.m. local time.
For its part, the Indonesian National Agency for Disaster Management (BNPB) announced that 3 people were killed and 7 others injured in the earthquake.
The agency said in a statement that another 4.3 magnitude aftershock was felt in the same area.
And the same source added that the roads leading to three villages were closed to transport due to a landslide due to the earthquake.
Local authorities have warned local residents against possible aftershocks.
